Creative Dance

Creative dance is moving our bodies in fun and interesting ways. It is not a particular style and so there is no right or wrong way to do it!

What is Creative Dance?

Creative dance for kindy kids is all about letting those little feet tap, twirl, and leap with joy as they explore movement in their own unique ways. It's not about perfect pirouettes or fancy footwork (although those can be fun too!), but rather about unleashing their inner dancers and letting them express themselves freely.

Think of it as a dance party where everyone's invited, regardless of their skill level or experience. We're talking about creating a space where kids can wiggle, giggle, and dance like nobody's watching!

What will I learn?

We will teach you how to incorporate dance and creative movement into your daily or weekly planning, no dance experience necessary! From 5 min energisers to 30min complete dance lessons.

  • We will explore dance concepts such as shapes, size and pathways to music the children will love to dance to (as well as the grown ups).

  • We will use props to add novelty and excitement to the program and provide you with new ideas for how to use equipment you may already have or may like to purchase.

  • We will provide lesson plans, further ideas and suggestions, links to music and a Parent Portal comment to share the 'why' about creative dance with families.
